Marcelo Woloski was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began playing drums at the age of three, and by eight was formally studying with some of the best in teachers in Argentina. At the age of sixteen Marcelo began exploring with hand percussion in Argentinean, Brazilian, Afro Cuban, Afro Peruvian and Uruguayan styles, most of which he studied in their place of origin (Brazil, Uruguay, Cuba).
In 2002 Marcelo bagan his professional career at Berklee in Argentina, where he earned an Associate’s degree and a scholarship to continue his studies in Composition, Drumset and Percussion in Boston at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
In 2005 Marcelo moved to Boston, USA, where he obtained the "Ralph Pace Scholarship for Outstanding Musicianship", graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2007 under the Professional Music Degree program and his composition "Mundo por Conocer" was released by Berklee’s label "Jazz Revelation Records" with the best compositions of the year.
During his two years tenure at Berklee he studied with excellent teachers that have extensive resumes in the jazz and world music scene such as: Jamey Haddad, Jon Hazilla and Terry Lynn Carrington, Joe Lovano, Kenwood Dennard (Jaco Pastorius), Greg Hopkings and Allain Mallet.
Marcelo has performed all over South and North America (Kennedy Center, Symphony Hall, Agganis Arena, Regattabar, Scullers Jazz Club, Ryles Jazz club, Berklee Performance Center), Scotland, South Africa, Israel and Hawaii with various jazz/world and Latin outfits

Gloria Stefan, Terry Lynn Carrington (Harbie Hancock), Gregory Hopkings(Buddy Rich), Allain Mallet (Paul Simon), Jamey Haddad (Paul Simon, Dave Liveman), Leo Blanco, Fernando Brandao, Ricardo Nole (Ruben Rada), Oscar Stagnaro (Paquito D’rivera) Nando Michelin, Pepe Luna (Willy Gonzalez), Roberto Moreno and ‘Ay de Mi’ flamenco group.
His remarkable versatility makes him a high in demand session musician and composer in New York.

Marcelo Woloski Nació y creció en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Empieza a tocar Bateria a los 3 años y a los 8 empieza a estudiar formalmente con algunos de los mejores profesores de Argentina. Paralelamente, a los 16 años empieza a tocar percusion, estudiando los ritmos Latino-americanos en su lugar de origen: Argentina, Brazil, Cuba y Uruguay. Los ritmos peruanos y Argentinos los estudia con Mario Gusso, Rodolfo Sanchez, Facundo Guevara y Hubert Reyes (Percusionista Peruano).
En el 2002 Marcelo empieza su carrera profesional en Berklee de Argentina (EMC) de donde se gradua y obtiene una beca para continuar sus estudios de Composision, Bateria y Percusion en la prestigiosa universidad de musica “Berklee College of Music†situada en Boston, USA.
En el 2005, Marcelo viaja a Boston, USA, donde estudia con profesores tales como: Jamey Haddad, Jon Hazilla, Terry Lynn Carrington, Joe Lovano, Oscar Stagnaro Kenwood Dennard (Jaco Pastorius), Greg Hopkins, Allain Mallet.
En el 2007 Marcelo se gradua con honores de “Berklee College of Musicâ€, obteniendo tambien el “Premio Raph Pace por sobresaliente musicalidad†y con su composision ¨Mundo por conocerº incluida en el disco de las revelaciones de jazz del año por el sello discografico de Berklee, Jazz Revelation Records.
Marcelo pasó por muy diversos escenarios de America del norte (Kennedy Center, Symphony Hall, Regattabar, Scullers Jazz Club, Agganis Arena, Ryles Jazz club, Berklee Performance Center) America del sur (La trastienda, Notorius, Teatro Alvear) y, asi como tambien en Escocia (Frindge Festival), Israel, Sudafrica y Hawaii, donde tocó Jazz, pop, musica latinoamericana y escocesa con diferentes agrupaciones.
Marcelo grabó y/o tocó en vivo con:
Gloria Stefan, Terry Lynn Carrington (Harbie Hancock), Gregory Hopkings (Buddy Rich), Allain Mallet (Paul Simon), Jamey Haddad(Paul Simon), Leo Blanco, Fernando Brandao, Ricardo Nole (Ruben Rada), Nando Michelin, Oscar Stagnaro (Paquito D’Rivera), Pepe Luna, Roberto Moreno y ‘Ay de Mi’ flamenco.
Su versatilidad como musico sesionista y compositor lo mantiene en alta demanda en la escena de Nueva York.
