About Me

Hello my dear Friends, and welcome to my page! My name is Ricardo Vogt, I am 23 years old and I play the guitar. Just this summer I graduated from Berklee College of Music, with a degree in Performance. My experience there was wonderful. In my 3 years at Berklee I have made many wonderful friends and listened to some of the most killin’ musicians in the world play. It was during my last semester of study there that I met Eliane Elias. Meeting her has changed my life. She hired me to be part of her band immediately, and ever since I’ve been touring the world with her, Marc Johnson, and Satoshi Takeishi. I am also going to be recording on her latest Album, Dreamer 2.
I am very excited to announce that I have recently become an endorsing artist for Godin Guitars. I play their beautiful electric model XTSA. - Thank you Robert and Janet Godin for your support! –
My second ongoing project as a sideman is just as exciting. I have recently been invited by my biggest hero ever, Guinga, to form a trio project. And the best part of it is that the 3rd person in the band is Leala Cyr! Leala and I have been playing music together for over 5 years. We made our journey through Berklee together, and now we are engaged to get married!
At this moment, Leala and I are both based in Green Bay, WI. We are currently working on the material that we plan on recording on our first album as a duet. In January of 2008, when we get back from Brazil, we are going to be moving to New York City.
I hope you enjoy the music you find here. Please check back for updates and drop me a note if you have any questions. Thank you for visiting my page!
