The Friends of Maple Woods Nature Preserve in Gladstone Missouri.
Our mission is to protect, and expand the preserve to its undeveloped boundaries.
We are partnered with Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation and Maple Woods Community College in the effort.

Look at our friends and you will see the web friendly woodsy folks form all around KC and the world.The donations to the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation, a fully-established not-for-profit organization who is partnered with the Friends of Maple Woods so that we are able to accept tax-free donations. Contributions made to this cause through MCHF are fully deductible to the extent allowed by law. MCHF is incorporated in the State of Missouri under the Missouri Nonprofit Corporation Act to assist the Missouri Department of Conservation in carrying out its authorized purposes. It holds Federal Tax Exempt Status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code.The Friends of Maple Woods organization is a not-for-profit organization founded solely for funding the purchase of a 7 acre plot adjacent to the current Maple Woods Natural Preserve, to be donated to the Missouri Department of Conservation as an expansion of the park. The group is non-partisan, non-political, and has no intention to take up any causes beyond the expansion of the Maple Woods Natural Preserve. 100% of the money donated will go into the fund, and all performers and helpers are donating their time and will not be paid. The organization was founded by Mr. Greg Montgomery, a local parent, educator with Liberty Public Schools, and Cub Scout Master for Troop 179 in Avondale, MO.

June 1st Benefit a success

Anyone who missed this show missed something great. The weather was sunny and the trees provided shade to the crowd. We raised 500$ for the purchase of the 7.3 acres a 30% increase in our total funds....
