Bikram Yoga is a challenging series of 26 asanas, or postures, that are
designed to systematically stretch, strengthen and restore health to every
part of the body. Developed by Bikram Choudhury, founder of
the worldwide Yoga College of India, this 90 minute practice is done in
a heated room, which serves to warm the body allowing for deeper and safer
stretching. The heat also helps prevent injuries and rids your body of
toxins while relieving stress and tension throughout your system.
Bikram Yoga has been described by Bikram Choudhury as a "moving meditation".
Physically it cultivates strength, flexibility and balance. Mentally it trains
the mind in five ways: to have faith in one's self, gain self control,
increase determination, improve concentration and build patience.

Class Schedule
All classes are 90 minutes. New students please arrive 15 minutes prior to start of class to register. Bring with you a mat, a bath towel, and water. All are available to rent or purchase at the studio. Be sure to hydrate yourself well throughout the day. It is best to practice on an empty stomach. Refraining from food 2-3 hours prior to class is recommended. Most students practice in bike shorts and a sports top. Wear anything you feel comfortable sweating in. Bikram Yoga is fun, challenging, invigorating, and cleansing. We look forward to seeing you soon!
