is mixing her first album...

About Me

In 2007 Tallulah set up…Transducer Records backed by Film Producer Rebel Penfold Russel (Pricilla Queen Of The Desert) and began work on her Debut Record with Matt Ingram and Marius De Vries at Urchin Studios and The Strongrooms in London.
Whilst most of 2007 was spent in the studio she did perform some key shows, including Shirley Bassey’s 70th at Cliveden. This performance also lead, to former Radio One DJ Mike Read choosing Black Seagull as one of his TOP 40 favourite tracks. Tallulah also performed solo on the Main Stage at The Secret Garden Party, In the City, Tourdates Launch Night and at Sunrise Celebration, where Louise Garrett spotted her.
NEWS FOR BEGINNING OF 2008.... Tallulah is currently mixing her Debut Record, Libellus and is beginning to plan her 2008 Tours.

’Tallulah Rendall grows with strength with every release... her debut Album proper is a realization of the sultry, subtle vocal inflections that her emphatic and stirring live show has always hinted to... an eclectic and suave effort." Toby L, Trangressive and Rockfeedback

A review that made me smile from Monkey See Monkey Do by James Hurrell.......
’An exhalation of breath. A rolling of eyes. A muttered "oh, not another one." A resigned, hostile stare. Has it come to this? What might have once been a music marketing man’s dream is now the dread of many a hardened, wizened music aficionado. I’m talking about girls with acoustic guitars. We seem to have an abundance of them in the UK at the moment, flirting merrily and singing wistfully about love. I don’t know about you, but the nondescript moaning drivel of the likes of Katie Melua and Joss Stone etc make me want to burst my own eardrums with a biro pen.
So it takes someone special to break the mould and breath new life into what has mostly been a (commercially) successful cliché. To rise out of the glossy greys, the monotone of over-hyped 20-somethings who profess to be sage philosophers of love, life, the universe and everything.
Meet Tallulah Rendall. She fits the bill. Attractive, guitar in hand, great voice... But it would be an injustice to think of Tallulah as "another one." It would be unfair to mention her in the same breath as, say, Kate Nash (though it’s often done). And a "this person meets that person" wouldn’t quite describe her. You see, there’s nothing soppy and whimsical about Tallulah. Her voice is strong, haunting and clear. Her music melodic, powerful and intoxicating. She’s an uncompromising, grab-you-by-the-balls-and-make-you-say-thankyou rare work of genius. What’s more, unlike many of her contemporaries, Tallulah actually writes her own songs.
So what does she sound like? Rather good, actually. Easy to listen to, folksy, bluesy, soulful, quirky... all the usual adjectives. Just check out the catchy ’Black Seagull’ and you’ll find yourself singing along for days. Her music has been described as "sublime musical magic" and even "music to shag to." High praise indeed. In an overcrowded field, Tallulah Rendall has something authentic to offer.’
