2008 was a triumph for Canterbury alt. rockers, Phantom Lacuna. The band gigged extensively in London and the South East and, most notably, played headline shows at Sound (formerly The Marquee Club), Leicester Square and The Grand, Clapham.
2009 has seen the band return with a revamped line-up which is stronger than ever before and the booking of their biggest gig to date at the O2 on 7th August in the Indigo2 concert hall.
Phantom Lacuna have also made appearances in the media including a plug in KERRANG! and starred on the covermount CD of ALTERNATIVE magazine as well as receiving the following review:
The meaning of 'Phantom Lacuna' is a riddle which conjures dark imagery and implies searching questions. Lyric lead songs explore themes of love and loss, life and death. Let there be no mystery about one thing however: Phantom Lacuna are here to rock! Big guitar riffs and melodic harmony vocals combine to create a distinctive and powerful sound. Superficial they are not- but you will leave, ears ringing, humming their tunes!
