LIFE IS TOO SHORT FOR BAD TONE!!!

About Me

So, you have recorded a few tracks (or perhaps a complete album?) and even burned a CD - but it somehow doesn't sound 'right', doesn't have that 'professional' sound like the big-name artists' albums in your collection? Or the tunes just don't sound like they did in your head, before you entered the studio...Or, perhaps, you like the sound of it and you think it's ready to 'hit the market' - are you sure this is the best that could be achieved? What if the sound could be made even better, fuller/brighter/punchier?Enter the magician known as mastering engineer - but, trust me, that person is more than an engineer: a musician with deep understanding of music theory and often hands-on, intimate experience with a musical instrument; an industry professional who understands not only audience tastes and market segmentation, but the tastes (oh, how important they are!) of industry executives and decision-makers; a producer that can understand ideas and see them materialize into an impactful musical product... yet 'engineer' does describe the deep scientific knowledge spanning from the physics of sound to advanced digital technology and processing algorithms... And none the less, a down-to-earth individual with a human touch who, like your best friend, can understand you and show your talent at its best.Your recordings would benefit from expert mastering, you have no doubt by now - but it must be expensive? Not necessarily, not here, at least: industry experience does come at a price, but an independent mastering studio has low overheads (doesn't have to overpay 'fat cats' and 'suits') and the founders of this business are in it for the love of music, once upon a time they were recording musicians - just like you! So they have a policy to make their skills available to all, not just the legendary names. Welcome to HiZ Productions!!!

My Interests

The creative use of modern and vintage technology! Nothing sounds better for guitar than a vintage tube amp but all contemporary digital technology allows us to translate the performance and the 'sound signature' to appropriate modern media so that the artist can reach larger audiences! Listen to your favorite artist on CD and imagine how the vintage-meets-modern technology brings the music closer to you!

I'd like to meet:

Interesting people who love music - not necessarily working in the music biz; Artists/bands who are interested in improving their sound through high end audio mastering; Sincere and honest people who realize that "some day" never comes!Let's live as if there's no tomorrow as God laughs his head off when someone is making long-term plans ;-)

Music:

Blues, Jazz, Rock in every single incarnation! Eric Clapton, Lee Ritenour, Eric Johnson, Jeff Beck, Larry Carlton, Cream (great Reunion 2005!), Robben Ford, Walter Trout, Robin Trower, Snowy White & the White Flames, Pat Travers, to name just a few...

Books:

Just try to compare Hammingway, Lermontov and some Clifford Simak for additional spice and feel ;-)
