TECHFREAK---> Tadej Sulgaj a.k.a. Sulgi a.k.a. Techfreak. Known to most as the dj and organizer of all kinds of parties (be it basements, his home, clubs, big open airs… all, possible and impossible locations) through more than a decade, the driving force behind the name Kud Technologia and a pain in the ass to his neighbours, who used to be molested by his marathonic, up to 14 days lasting house parties. As a seven year old he discovered the secret of taping radio transmitted tracks on audio cassetes. The next discovery was electronic music – with Depeche Mode in 1981 at his age of eight. In the following years he showed growing interest in rap, starting to break dance in basements with his friends and trying to mix some rap tunes on separate cassette decks. Due to his different view on music he never wanted to attend music school, still he always felt drawn to drums. His first public performance ocurred in primary school in front of a smaller crowd, where he played from his cassette decks and it was then that his vision grew clearer. His 1991 was marked by The Prodigy and the beginning of the digging into England's electronic music scene, which was continued with with Bomb the bass, Inner City, Altern Eight,KLF,The Shamen, Soul II Soul,Black Box,Technotronic and a massive Human Resource's track called Dominator(joey Beltram's rmx). There was hardly any birthday or newyear's party in his neighbourhood without him being there to deejay. As a true dj enthusiast, he fell victim of a common syndrome of spending the entire income on hi-fi and other electronical equipment. Yet his enthusiasm refused to decline. In 1998 he bought his first computer and started to produce his own music, creating about 70 tracks in Re birth, which he later performed in the old school bunker. 1998 was also the year of his first turntables. He never missed a party around and paid attention to all kinds of music, also attending some rock concerts in Slovenia and abroad. Vinyls began to pile up in 2000 and so did his acquaintances with people from abroad that affect his music career. His ultimate choice in music is techno.
