Influences: I love so many types of music, particularly, the building of and structure of songs. Spiritually, I am drawn to the guitar. Guitar music became a big part of what I listened to growing up. Fortunately, I grew up in the 70's, When music was real, and people cared about songs.David Bowie,Queen, Elton John all impacted me. Remember when you could listen to the whole album and love each track? I did that a lot with Rush ,Pink Floyd of course, Led Zepp.Jimmy Page showed me music in pictures, mindscapes.(or was that the purple microdot?) It wasn't until Ann and Nancy Wilson burst onto the scene, that I finally picked up the guitar that had been hanging on the wall,waiting. There are so many great guitarists and bands that influence us to keep music alive. It is BEYOND COOL that we can put our personal spin on the same notes, the same chords. THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME....Miraculous! Competition,comparison and criticisms are worthless. Not one soul is better than another. Real music is soul music , no matter the genre. Experience, life, love and feelings inspire me to create the only songs I know how. Sounds Like: Ironically, when I began to develop my style, what came through was nothing like how I imagined. I figured I'd play rhythm guitar and sing in some loud rock band. I am self taught and I have never had a guitar lesson. As a result, I never learned to play like anyone else. I sound like me.
