The Beatles~(Paul & Ringo) and Eric Clapton, maybe they would be interested in forming a four piece combo. Oh yeah, and the electric women from foxey ladyland!
I like the older stuff mostly, well written songs, with actual vocals and true musicianship, but I do like some new music that manages to filter through all the garbage being released these days to get to my ears. For the best new music, check out Nashville's Progressive Radio Lightning 100 WRLT @ www.lightning100.com
"Martin Scorsese Presents the Blues - A Musical Journey" was awesome. www.pbs.org/theblues/ "Festival Express" is a very cool live music documentary www.festivalexpress.com/ My favorite music documentary is a must see for every musician, "Tom Dowd & The Language Of Music" www.thelanguageofmusic.com/
I thought the idea was that there would be music on MTV! Heart and ZZ Top were honored by VH1, but I guess we can all blame "The Real World" for the so called reality show trend. PBS has the best quality programing.
I'm a little partial to these two, since I contributed research and information to both of them. "Black Gold~The Lost Archives Of Jimi Hendrix" by Steve Roby and "Room Full Of Mirrors" by Charles Cross. "Great Rock Drummers Of The Sixties Revised" by Bob Cianci is a great read!
