About Me

O L É !- The Latin Music Comedy Explosion -Paul Morocco • Guillermo de Endaya • Antonio GomezMucho Comedy, Macho Guitarras - The Gypsy Kings go juggling!Paul Morocco and his »Amigos« are without doubt extremely skilled maniacs.Paul Morocco, Antonio Gomez Gil and Guillermo de Endaya perform together in one of the most unpredictable, funny and spectacular shows. It is an effervescent combination of music and comedy, full of surrealistic ‘inventions’ and lots of fun. Olé performs in all sorts of exhilarating music styles: from the rhythms of flamenco to salsa, swing, blues, jazz and pop. Three Latin-American machos, full of fire, fighting for their honour as they play, spinning and throwing their guitars into the air; it’s wild and wonderful, formidably musical and sparkling with comic talent. They take the audience on a trip and wind up in a grand fiesta!!!Guillermo de Endaya was born in in Bilbao, Spain. He started playing the guitar at age 14. He later studied at the Conservatory in Leioa (near Bilbao), where he became the drummer of the Big Band "Bilbao”. As a singer, guitarist and composer, he was the leader of many bands in Spain and Germany. Thanks to his feeling for melody, rhythm and his acting talents, he has been with Olé for ten years! Antonio Gomez was born in Cuba where he studied guitar and became guitar teacher at the »Escuela Nacional de Arte« in Havanna. Since the nineties he has been touring in Europe with different projects. Now that he is part of Olé, he combines his musical talents, energy and natural feeling for humour.Paul Morocco, the founder of the group, is that crazy guy from Casablanca himself. He grew up in Virginia in the United States. His mother comes from Morocco, his father is a Cajun from New Orleans. Morocco left his native country and travelled as a street artist to Europe. He later settled down in London, first delving into the cabaret circuit, and later in worldwide theatre. This flamboyant personality, exceptional juggler and talented musician expresses his "Mediterranean madness" together with Guillermo and Antonio to perform the show that is Olé! …………Paul Morocco, Guillermo de Endaya and Antonio Gomez are a cast of highly skilled musicians and a mad Casablancan in the middle. Their show »Olé« is a subversive, zany and wonderful celebration of Flamenco. This spectacular show is full of surreal invention and fun. Comedy, guitar and the percussive Seville orange! Olé is all exhilarating sounds and rhythms of flamenco and palmas to the extrordinary cajon drum and always with the eternal clown figure of Paul Morocco and the wit that is Olé! You will never see a show more bizarre and unpredictable... It’s flamenco but not as you know it. Olé premiered in highly sucessful sell-out runs at the »Just For Laughs« Festival in Montreal and at the Assembly Rooms at the Edinburgh Festival, gaining superb reviews. Since then they have been showing their talents in nearly every European country and in many other parts of the world.
