Deepening the bond between what is, and what was, smashing into what can be now and forever.

About Me

Hello, and welcome to my world. My name is Matthew Alan Pierce, but most of my friends call me Matt. You can too! I started writing down things when I was only 14, but I think I was using the tools for it, in the very workings of my own mind and imagination long before that, perhaps even in the womb. LOL My fetal experience was like tumble dry low for nine months, and then the escape. My mom told the doctor she was pregnant, to which he tested her, and said "No you're not." Then she had to have gall bladder surgery, and this was late 1968-early 1969. When she was waking up afterwards, the doctor told her she was in fact pregnant, but they didn't expect there to be any trouble. Also during this pregnancy, she rode a city bus, while getting off, walking down the asile, the bus took off again, causing her to pitch forward, breaking one of her legs. She had a stove that the pilot light kept going out, she bent to check it, and had to light it, needless to say, it blew up on her. Thankfully she suffered no long term damage, nor scars. However, and meanwhile I am still in fetal nirvana, and have decided that life is going to be bumpy! LOL I was shaken and stirred before birth.
I spent some time in high school on the staff of the literary Magazine, and submitted poetry for that every year. Starting in 1994, I began to submit poetry to be published on a single poem basis several times a year. I have won awards, and will be releasing the first of several collections of poetry soon.
In 2000 I published my first novel, Reflected Evil. It can be viewed at Amazon.com. I plan to UPDATE it for a new revised edition sometime in the future. The story still has a sequel on the horizon too, called Black Glass Coven.
Check out my Novel, Dark Curse Of Whispers
I will be putting previews and samples in my BLOG here, so check them out and let me know what you think. I will be putting together several collections of Poetry, and my poems range in style and subject, and be about anything. I will be putting samples on BLOGS, so look for them there.
Currently I am working on several new books, and shorts. The current novel is a ghost story with a TWIST! It is centered around ghosts as the very fabric and hub of the story, but the ghosts come into play within the story because of the actions of the Villain. He happens to be a Vampire who curses five people to have temporary immortality, and the ability to see ghosts. He does this because he NEEDS them to see ghosts for his ultimate plan. The result is five college students wrestling with sudden sixth sense and all sorts of dead things coming to visit. I have titled this new Novel Dead Touch.
Some of the short stories I have written, mostly have only ever been viewed by those close to me, but I am trying to shed a little light on them, or is that DARKNESS! I am working some new ones as well. Also I have submitted to Word Weavers
~The short Lives~ and my story is now LIVE......
~Immortal Release IS LIVE~
I am working on some other short projects as well, including the horror genre, but also I am venturing into new territory. Sci-Fi/ Fantasy. I have found that some of my so called horror ideas border these other genre's. So I am now thinking Why not? We will see where it goes. I can also tell you that some of the shorts I am working on defy genre, but one can tell they were written by an author that writes horror/suspense.
The list of available shorts:
A short that defies genre, a cross between horror, sci-fi, and fantasy, titled The Box is now available in the NEW Preditors and Editors Anthology~ Help: click Here: P & E Antho~ Help !
Then Delve into the Fantasy realm, for those fans who wish to broaden your scope. The Gateway a short that appears in Word Weavers Fantasy Anthology; Tome Of Distant Realms
The Stain, a short that appears in Darkened Horizons Issue 4, OUT now~ DH~4
You can find my terrifying dark Love story, New Eden, a Short that appeared in a special Valentine's Edition of Darkened Horizons: Till Death Do We Part
