park that car, drop that phone, sleep on the floor, dream about me

About Me

Ex-Manchester student, now Manchester resident and deputy ed of The Fugitive Motel (somewhere in the dustbowl). Give me a cup of tea to drink (or some whiskey if the time is right) and I'll be happy. Give me a cd I'll love or tell me about a decent gig I've not heard about yet and I'll be more than happy. Give me a way out of temping and into that illusive media/radio career and I'll love you forever.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 .

My Interests

Music, journalism, procrastination, tea, cake, records, daydreaming, travel, music, Manchester in the sunshine, dancing like a tit, gin, whiskey, kids' films for grown-ups, festivals no matter what the weather does, Oldham Street, dingy bars (often painted red) with fine beer selections, not-so-dingy pubs (often painted red) with fine beer selections, 6Music on a Sunday morning (and a Sunday evening), squirrels

Nothing lasts forever, that’s the way it’s got to be

None of us really believed it was true. Sure, we knew The Ladybarn (aka best pub in Manchester) was having trouble, especially when the closure for 'refurbishment' was in fact because the brewery had ...

It's a sad day...

...when the thing that you have loved, poured time and effort into and enjoyed every second of becomes a stressful, hostile environment of taunts, threats, raised voices and unkind words. RIP SDxxx...

the end of another year....

I seem to have come over all nostalgic this evening; I think it's partly to do with just how fantabulous the weather/end of exams related activities have been over the past week, but partly as I seem ...
