Corpus Artisticum was created by Gabrijel Savic Ra in Belgrade during early 2005 first as informal art group, but the group evolved and become international connection for artists, curators, art theorist, different kind of activists etc. Original group has been made from following artists and art theorists who are still the base for group activity: Andjela Stevanovic, Bojana Romic, Maja Popovic, Zelislav Marusnik, Goran Cakmazovic and later Mihael Nektan, Goran Micevski, VojislaV Radovanovic and Marjan Andrejevic. The basis of group activity is V.I.P.Art Gallery of Students Cultural Center in Belgrade. Today Corpus Artisticum has many artists worldwide and creates bigger and bigger networking in region and internationally. The group have collaborated with Smoke Gallery (Niagara Falls, Canada), ACT ART (London, UK), Pasadena Museum of California Art (USA), Artists' Television Access (San Francisco, USA), Belgrade Design Week (Serbia), MX ESPAI (Barcelona, Spain), Belgrade Summer Festival (Serbia), Landmark Kunsthall (Bergen, Norway), Alternative film and video festival (Belgrade, Serbia), MKC (Skoplje, Macedonia), Kebla (Maribor, Slovenia), Re_Mapping (Belgrade, Serbia), Atelier Momas (Brussels, Belgium)… The group is rarely introduced as Corpus Artisticum, but more as individual artists who through idea of networking presents their personal artworks. And that’s the credo of Corpus Artisticum – INDIVIDUALITY. Only as individuals we can contribute in wider sense. Everybody is welcome to be the part of Corpus Artisticum and to benefit from the group connections; group exists because of individuals, not other way around.
