About Me

NOW TAKING COMMISSIONS!
NOW TAKING COMMISSIONS!
Serious inquiries welcome. Currently I'm working on a piece by piece basis. At the moment, pieces move as quickly as I finish them. I use acrylics, enamels, spray-paint, house paint, pastels, markers, pencils, liquid aluminum, rubberized paint, and just about everything else I can get my hands on. These materials are applied to mostly found or recycled objects including windows, doors, salvaged wood and metal, smashed electronics, building materials, and canvas (on request). Contact me to discuss custom work. Can ship anywhere. Also you should know that 15% of all profits are donated to various children's organizations. One Love! Artist Statement...

I am a practicing artist in post-modern-apocalyptic-graffiti-abstract style. My artwork reflects my views on the social and political conditions of the world when it is at its most thoughtful (the artwork, not the world). Other times I am exploring color theory and relationships; sometimes pure graffiti. At the moment I am working on a series of eight panels that deconstruct existential morphologies while questioning the paradoxical nature of internal art-centric rhetoric.
At any rate I think Art is hugely important and makes the world a better place through a variety of means. I really dig contemporary art and new art theory. I'm also fascinated by graffiti, stencil, sticker, fantasy, punk, hotrod, tattoo, erotic, comic-book, and cartoon art. These forms of art are all snubbed or excluded from most art history courses and texts. They are often ignored or dismissed by critics...I think this needs to change, because there is a lot of great art being produced right now and over the last 50 years that needs to be recognized. Moi...
First of all, I'm awesome. Second, I used to be the admiral of a Russian submarine, before becoming a crash test dummy. Then, after a brief stint working for the FBI investigating Alien transexual vegans, I worked as a rodeo clown. Actually, my dad was in the Army and I grew up all over the United States and lived in Germany and Panama. I call the West Coast home not for any EastCoast/WestCoast hip hop reasons but because I like the scenery and the people the best of all the places I've been... Not to say I haven't met some great people everywhere. I consider myself friendly and humble, and a loyal amigo to those that are on my list of "good people". I have a lot of great friends and a wonderful family. I was born in Alabam(er) and have since moved about 25 times. I went to Andress High School in El Paso, Texas, and the day after graduating from high school (1996) my Dad moved us out to Barstow, California (halfway between LA and Vegas). I spent a year there before becoming a construction worker and then traveled to Utah for about a year or so where I did Asphalt paving and parts warehousing. My dad called up one day and said he could help me get through college if I was interested. Yes! I moved back to Cali and spent three years doing Graphic design coursework, before transferring into the Art History program at Cal Poly, Pomona. Wrapped that up in 2004 and then spent a year substitute teaching high school and special ed. students. I just finished my Master's degree in Art History at the University of Oregon. Now I plan on taking over the world one canvas at a time. EXTA-C1
I am interested in standing up for the rights of all people that are generally trod on by society and could use a little assistance. I can't stand racists, bigots, or any other form of haters. I believe that we all have a right to pursue happiness in our own way as long as other people are not hurt by our actions. BATTLE 4 MOUNT OLYMPUS

LIES
SICKNESS
This sickness grips my mind,
and as of late I do find
fatal distortions involving time.
This corruption twists my grip on reality,
and I fear my own mortality;
terrified by possible finality.
This slip from sanity ever increasing,
and ability to control self; decreasing.
Lies told to myself; unbelieving.
This voice in my head tells me to give in,
and yet another, tells me to stay driven.
In the darkness, all is forgiven.
This question taxes my subconscious brain,
and as I struggle with this mental strain,
I wonder if it’s possible to maintain. MOFO CHAOS TORTURE
My reason for living.
Sometimes my reason for seeking death.
Love provides compassion and forgiving.
Hate takes away my breath.
Taken to the heights of ecstasy.
Driven to the pits of hell.
Completed with her next to me.
Twisted in agony where negativity dwell.
Helped through tough times and everyday bullshit.
Have to see them go and lost forever.
Makes me strive on when I want to quit.
The demon that holds me down and says never.
Slowly stepping towards a better life.
Approaching happiness and peace of mind.
In my back slowly twists the knife.
And I realize I will never find.
Torture: the infliction of severe mental or physical pain.
FUTURE THOUGHT
Jacked into the cyber ether for between six and fourteen hours per day begins to take its toll on my humanity. As I tear my ocular modulators away from the screen, I rub them and yet another screen appears. In this one, neon architectonic shapes emerge and coalesce in patterns that cannot be described in rational terms. I wonder about the fourth dimension. I stand up in the darkened room and back away from the glowing terminal that sucks out so much of my soul, and I stretch out. When was the last time I took a break...a real break, not leaving my digital work to surf the web for a few minutes here and there "communicating" with people on myspace, friendster, facebook, hotmail, etc.... I can't remember, but my bladder quivers and tells me I haven't released in hours - hours that seemed like minutes while my corporeal body became an extension of the machine in front of me. As I walk out of the work pod, I encounter another human for the first time in hours. They seem strange in this thee dimensional realm; unpixelated, unmodulated, and their voices are not the tinny squelches belched out of substandard speakers, but full of life...some vital energy that I have been apart from. For the fleeting moments that I walk between my office on the third floor of the Future Peace Incorporated facility and my dwelling 0.86 miles away; I feel alive. As I walk down the street a myriad of people pass me by; some in matrix-style slow motion, others in a Gaussian blur. While a few uber-sexualized few freeze-frame and magnify, and ultimately burn into my mental lens while causing my heart to skip a beat and my pulse to quicken - most simply fade like wraiths - gone before I even become conscious of their presence. Most of these drones I walk by are jacked-in to their i-pods, becoming i-sheep that are i-homogeneous purposely placing one more layer of distance between themselves and others. I am over stimulated by the pulsating sight of actual objects and spaces before me, of gigantic trees and infinite varieties of flowers in full bloom dazzling my eyes with their diverse range of colors and textures. A squirrel darts across the lawn beside me, seemingly un-aware or unconcerned with the drones going about their business, seeking food, solace, or a passionate moment with a new lover. I realize the beauty that surrounds me; that surrounds all of us - that we have become more and more detached from, and wonder why we all don't take more time to make real contact with the real world and real people? I arrive at my door just as I'm coming to this conclusion. I enter and lock, not just one, but three locks. Then I turn on the stereo to block out the sound of outside. Very loud drum and bass rattles away my close encounter with nature. Pop on the television so I can get back to staring at the screen and shake that weird feeling that was creeping in...something to do with loss, disconnection....what was it? I don't know, but there is some voluptuous model in front of me with perfect pixelated skin. As I sit down with my microwaved "T.V. dinner," I wonder where I could meet another human? It seems like I saw some recently, somewhere...but I'm not sure how one goes about "communicating" without a keyboard or a screen or a mouse. THERE SHE WAS
There she was standing in the pouring rain, completely soaked at the bottom of my steps. I walked down the stairs, and I asked her what was going on and motioned her to step up out of the rain. She told me she had been in it so long that she could no longer feel it. She said she had to see me - it was important. I asked her if she was okay, and she said yes. "I have to give you something," she said. She put her hand around the back of my head and pulled me closer. Her eyes sparkled and she trembled in the pale orange glow from the street lamp. I could smell her perfume; it was intoxicating. Her soft lips met mine as I wrapped my arms around her. For an instant or an eternity we kissed on the steps - the best, sweetest kiss I've ever had...And then...THUMP! The door to one of my neighbor's apartments slammed, and I woke up. 5:55 am - 5 minutes before my alarm was supposed to go off. I reset it for 8:00 and went back to sleep in search of my dream girl.
