About Me

Bio from the bayou---moving through time and space, the caravanserai of shifting color, infinite dimension achieves the Goal first sought by mankind long ago when legendary heroes rose from the ashes of human experience, to inspire, to lead those downtrodden souls from bitterness, cellular frustration into the Light of infinite wisdom. Nature's gate, the cypress, moss banked swamp weaves primordial, sinewy, mysteriously permeating the heartland. From promethean depths creatures emerge from forest twilight, to celebrate, to revive the magical firenight of life, its ancient roots buried deep in the earth, and from this imaginative crossroad of the mind, the Soul emerges, beautiful as the most immaculate angelic Being, to guide us across the shallow delusive sea of sorrow. Big Daddy Bullfrog Blues Band is a catharsis of Blues, Pychedelic and contemporary Rock'n Roll, a revivial of those early cultural gypsies brave enough to journey beyond the vistas of normal experience, to find a brave new world filled with inner joys, disembodied extension propelling I AM to every nook and cranny of Consciousness. When the 60's Movement started Big Daddy was there. When the Summer of love dawned, Big Daddy was there. Down the years since, the group has recorded from time to time under the most rigid standards of purified devotion to that Deity so compellingly near to the truth seeker, spontaneous Spirit eruptions, glimpses of the hippie lifetstyle endearing to those who must wander today's city streets, those gainfully employed but bored beyond reproach by the daily grind of meaningless modern urban existence. Our songs are strong reminders that only Soul-realization, a relaxed, natural lifestyle can bring happiness. From our archives, legendary psychedelic music has once again been released on an unsuspecting world. Enjoy it, consider it, it comes from God. Members of the band are introduced in order---Big Daddy Bullfrog, harmonica, lead guitar, vocals; Honey Dew Blossom, guitar, melodic vocals; Lightning Ivories plays MAGICAL keyboards. Other integral members of the group include the Reverend Roy L. on rhythm guitar, the Big Easy on electric bass, and last but not least, Buckwheat Manchild on vocals and acoustic guitar. ..
