Kesey & J.Garcia:
During the Summer of Love in June 1967 a copy of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" was brought to Millbrook as a gift from Kesey and the Merry Pranksters. The community gathered in the huge, opulently shabby living room, lit up a few joints, and put the record on ... Leay's Interpersnal Diagnosis of Personality launched the movement in psychology called "Transactional Therapy" which includes a more patient-centered approach and (then) such revolutionary ideas as Group therapy. "Group therapy!" Tim once recounted, mimicking the horror of his professional colleagues, "You can't do that! Why, they'll infect each other: the neurotic patient will trigger the obsessive/compulsive and the borderlines will become hysterical...!"
History has shown Dr. Timothy Leary was a pioneer in the study of the human brain and human behavior. Witness the popularity of 12-step groups for almost every affliction (and some just for the community). When History, that endless argument, settles down on the question of Leary, his proper place will be amongst the giants of using science to better human life on this planet: Freud, Jung, Bill W., Jerry Garcia et. al.
"...and now back to Land of the Lost!
Peace Out, Robert Anton Wilson:

-Timothy Leary
