About Me

My name is Tina Tarnoff, I am a full time artist living in San Francisco, born in Zagreb, Croatia. After careening through my childhood and teenage years, I left my home town at the age of eighteen and embarked on the path of liberation. That path took me to London, where I dived into a vivacious city, developed gills needed for survival, and learned cultural tolerance and appreciation. The road curved and twirled and continued around the world... Switzerland, France, Greece, Turkey, across the Atlantic and deep into the Amazon. I felt great joy in seeing, feeling, smelling, and finally believing. After returning to my homeland, I started writing poetry and was published in various literary magazines. I surrounded myself with the magic of books, ran a prominent bookshop, and was carried on a wave of the word. In April 2006, I went on a two-week vacation to San Francisco, were I discovered my true meaning and endless inspiration. I decided to stay. I live, love and paint in the most beautiful place in the world.
