toothpastefordinner.comWhat's to say? Here goes..I'm a multi-faceted, mish-mash of nightmarish lows and ecstatical highs.I'm married (tres happily!!) with three children. I have a wonderful Husband, it is only now that I realise what 'they' mean when 'they' say about 'other halves and being complete'!!...that said, please don't perceive me as being a sentimental fool!I am becoming adept at bimbling, I have honed the art of procrastination to a level where it has become completely ridiculous!!..that said, I can be forthright and gung-ho if the situation deems it necessary!I am the least girly girl I know, (and I know some very boyish lesbians!!) I keep my hair long to hide myself away when I feel the need and I haven't worn make-up since my wedding day in May 2006...that said, I have been told that since meeting my man I have become 'demure'..go figure?I'm trying my best to be a good mum, it's not a state that comes naturally to me..that said, my children are loved and cared for, and are the centre of my world, and I don't spend my time chasing them with sticks and punishing them with fire!! Well, not all the time!!I am alternative with a traditional schwar. I can be noisily contemplative. I am tolerant with a hint of snob. I can be flamboyantly outrageous, yet wish they did not look my way.My creativities manifest themselves in varying degrees...today I shall mostly be staring at the sky wishing for the sunshine to bring the colours back.I am of the old skool cheezy quaver ilk, I was there back in the day, waving my hands in the air like I just didn't care, glow sticks, furry boots, smiley T-s *cringe* but slowed it all down to raise my children. I don't go to nightclubs anymore, can't be doing with the beer bois and pretty girls just there to um, err..look pretty; what's the point your being there unless you leave a sweaty mess? (see pics!)I tend to save my precious nights out for psytrance/woods/squat parties...nothing better than watching it all unfold under a starry sky..*sigh*I love good food, good music and good drugs, preferably on the same evening.For a year or so, I have been managing a school kitchen with my husband, catering for two primary schools...and no, we don't serve the grotty school dinners that were the norm, up until not that long ago! But almighty thanks has to be hurled at that mockney pratt, Jamie Oliver. He's truly made it so that every child that has dinners at school, has a healthy, nutritious meal....No great shakes you may think, but consider this; Because school meals are so expensive, most of those that take a Dinner will probably be from a low-income family, thus, will be eligible for a free-school meal. This could be the only full meal these children have that day.Yep, even here, in good old UK, there are famillies on such a low income that their children have to rely on the govenment to subsidise their basic human right.....having a good meal to sustain them through the day...Just don't get me started on the state of this country, Lordy!!I love my job, I truly do...I start at 8am, work like a dog, get lied to by my superiors at H.O. It's crap money, but......I finish at 2pm, I get to pick my children up from school, important stuff I think, and I get to work with my beloved soul-mate (and even after all this time we haven't got sick of working and living together)...But, that's not the best of it.....We get ALL the school holidays off AND get paid...it's fan-bloody-tastic!!Still can't quite fathom how they (fat-cat-boss-men) trust us with something soooo important, you've read my profile, you know what I'm like! That said, I have an excellent work ethic, especially when doing something I'm good at. And between us we've turned that kitchen into a finely honed machine...oooh hark at me!
