Sounds Like: Artificial Life Preserver is the soundtrack to a leisurely stroll, and a few sessions of interstellar hopscotch, in the fifth dimension. The combining of familiar and alien is not always so pleasing to the aesthetic, yet "automata" is probably some of the very best works of eclectic genre bending and tonal exploration I have heard. Ranging from ultra chill lounge to very abstract and progressive, these tracks flow well and have a continuity and artistic integrity that allows for a wide range of styles. I really dig the use of acoustic sounds while all the little digital creatures sing the chorus.
