About Me

Hamish started djing at 19 whilst at university in Leeds. His first party project - Crystal Yamantaka - was put together along with Cash & Ash, and became the calling-card for those in search of a night with incredible atmosphere, amazing decor and the best music. It was also a testing ground for artists such as Flip Flop, Touch Tone, Hemisync, Crystal Oscillator, & Roobix Q-Bit to name a few. Since then Hamish has moved to London, responsible for bringing artists such as Freq, Ace Ventura and Flowjob to the capital, and for rocking dancefloors around the world. With the main influence on warm, strong, psychedelic and groovy music that ranges from progressive to full-on, he always try to go on a journey when behind the decks.
Added to the Alchemy Records roster in 2006, he has played along side the leading artists in the Progressive and Psychedelic genres: Vibrasphere, Allaby, Yotopia, Antix, Freq, Ace Ventura, Rinkadink, Dick Trevor, Shane Gobi, Ans and Edoardo to name a few, and at festivals such as Boom, Glade (Origin Stage), Universo Parallelo, Life, Shamania, Echo, Eastern Haze and many more. With one compilation for Alchemy Records under his belt - Echo VA - a full calendar of events for the 2008 summer, including Boom, Life and Glade Festivals, the success of his side project with Mark Bedouin and his involvement in the first UK Progressive Label - Furthur Project Recordings, things are looking bright for this london-based talent.

Influences: Bob Marley/Blur - first music i really 'listened' to. Dire Straits Robert Miles - t'was he who put me on the path to dance music. 'children'.. seminal album. Hallucinogen (The Lone Deranger on tape was the first i had of the trance). Silicon Sound. Wrecked Machines. Brain XL. Shpongle.
Sounds Like: my music is a mix of bass lines that carry you along by your belt, interesting pecussion, unfinished melodies and noises that have been squeezed together. If thats you ting, enjoy! otherwise, understand it is a work in progress. My dj'ing on the other hand...
