Toad - otherwise known as Nick Hughes originally played bass guitar in the professional rock band Persian Risk, he toured the length & breadth of the UK supporting the legendary Motorhead.
As the bass player, Nick played on 2 Radio 1 sessions, a live TV show (Channel 4), made an album & 4 singles. He joined other bands, but got disillusioned with the music business and opted out of the scene. He went back to it for a while a few years ago playing in an Ozzie Osbourne tribute band 'Wizards of Oz'.
He started DJ'ing 7 years ago after being introduced to dance music by Fungi-Psy'd (Toadstool resident). He went from House/Trance, through Euphoric to Progressive Trance finally finding Psytrance - his now, all consuming passion!!. Influenced technically mostly by John 00 Fleming (himself having his roots in goa/psytrance).
He is involved in the promoting side of things too with 'Toadstool' - a psytrance party in based in Gloucester, UK which he started with friends and dj's in the local area.
He is also into music production and he is currently spending many hours in the studio.
He is resident dj for Toadstool.
His style ranges from a progressive 135bpm to a full on 147bpm
His passion and love of the music shows in his dedication to the art of mixing. He can't resist well written, well produced tunes and revels in long well blended mixes.
Toad has played at Offworld Festival, Twisted Magic,Tribe of Frog,Dark Tribe, Baraka,Twisted Toadstool, Critical Mass, Impulse.

Nick is resident dj at Toadstool and also the founder member.

Toadstool started in 2004 as a small gathering for serious psytrance dj's to bring the music to the people of Gloucestershire and beyond.

Now the small crew of volunteers are dedicated to doing just that for anyone that's up for it!!

Quality is most important, whether it be the quality of the music, sound, visuals or vibe, its all taken care of to make sure your party experience is the best it can be.

The resident and guest dj's are all committed to their music and bring in the very best, world class Psychedelic trance.

Laughing Buddha is UK Producer and DJ Jeremy van Kampen. :

A former guitarist, his inspiration for producing trance was kick started by the Goa parties of the early 90s.

His first release was the 'Cannabanoid' EP on Transient records under the name Cosmosis with Bill Halsey in 1995. This partnership went on to produce a top selling album 'Cosmology' and a string of hits such as 'Morphic Resonance' and 'Gift of the Gods'. They also released the singles 'Infinite depths' and 'Karma' on T.I.P. Records as Laughing Buddha. When they went their separate ways in 1998, Jez continued the Laughing Buddha project producing more top singles such as 'If You Think You're Psykik' on Transient and collaborations with Chris Decker of Medicine Drum and Purple, with whom he produced the classic track 'Remote' on Flying Rhinos Maelstrom compilation.

Jez is currently one of the UKs top producers and, after having released tracks on labels such as Dragonfly, LSD (as Drum Druids), Nano Records, Solstice and T.I.P. World, he has now joined the team at Nano Records and is currently working on his debut solo album for them.

An experienced Live act and DJ, Jez has toured extensively around the world including Australia, New Zealand, Israel, U.S.A., South America and Europe.
