The Subsonar album is the first solo release from Tim Bran since departing the Dread ranks in 2001. Martins Remix features Vocals from Brother Culture (Manasseh Sound System), and Sara Davis (Melk). The original Radio Edit and 2 other excellent mixes by The Orb and Renegade Sound wave’s Danny Briotte will be released in advance of the album. The album will be released through Liquid Sound, a label owned by Youth (Producer of The Verve, Embrace, Primal Scream, Kubb, Cord, Blackbud, member of Killing Joke & the Orb) and is a subsidiary of Big Life Records.
Also Martin has worked with Zia Geelani Bass Player for the Ozric Tentacles and now his brilliant new project ZubZub on a track called “Bandit Funk†Zia remixed the track which is an outstanding take on the original track, this can be found on their most recent album “Malicious Code†Titled “Outlawedâ€. In fact Zub and TD are often performing gigs together near enough falling over each other as they change over places. Catch them playing back to back at this years Sunrise festivals Waveform Dance stage and Antiworld's Clockwork Prism Stage also the Glade Festival later this year!
Trancient Dreams current collaborations: “Analogue Mindfield†“Harri Kakoulli†“Suspira†“Skomm†â€Alex Gloworld†and “Paul Osbidianâ€
Spira Saxe Co-writing, Vocals, Percussion and all Artwork
Talented Vocalist and percussionist then working as “Suspira†joined up with Martin at the start of 2006 bringing her style of Arctic Folk, heady percussion and jazz infused vocals into the sound that is now. The pair realised they had a great chemistry in more ways than one and penned “Time To Unwind†and “Disciplined Sin†in a matter of days during Martins visit to Suspira Studios in North Norway. They then flew back to the UK to perform at the Eastern Haze Festival 2 weeks later to perform those tracks and a few other TD tracks that made a great build up to the Awesome Eat Static who were headlining the club stage that night. Needless to say they have been working hard to bring the sound of Trancient Dreams to what it is now and have been the perfect driving force behind the band that you will hear today!
Dan Hope “Electric and Acoustic Guitarsâ€
Dan Hope is guitarist extraordinaire and has been playing blistering guitar for Trancient Dreams adding awesome colours to the TD Live set up. Dan has been playing for years in and out of bands through his time mastering the dub sound and creating energetic riffs and solos that set the band on fire. His ability to play around with the TD Sound creating new and exciting layers is such an integral part of their live performances. Dan has played in bands with Spira during her time in England some years ago! So it goes without saying that the two have chemistry already explored which is an important part of the TD puzzle coming together. Dan has recorded lots of songs in his time some of which are in progress of being reworked with a view to be incorporated into the TD Set. Marve wanted Dan in as soon as he heard him turn his hand to the TD Rehearsals they did together.
Mark Fletcher Bass Guitar,Percussion and Keys
Mark has been an amazing addition to Trancient Dreams, his energy and skills have been another important part of our live sound. Mark has been playing music since he can remember. Mark has really worked well with Spira his beat sister! They create an amazing energy onstage playing percussion together interweaving their styles into a breath taking and energising performance! Mark is a composer and producer of electronic and psychedelic dance music in his own right. As a musician, Mindflux is principally a drummer, playing full-kit and various types of percussion and hand-drums including darbuka/doumbek, djembe and tabla, but also plays synths, acoustic and electric guitar and bass. Mark can be found playing in his increasingly busy schedule with amazing bands such as ZubZub, Dream Machine, Jon Champignon Egan and Paul Didge. The first 3 bands are all offshoots of the Awesome Ozric Tentacles which forms a strong influence on the TD Sound. Mark and Marve met through various gigs they were playing together where TD were playing warm up sets for the mighty ZubZub. It was only a matter of time before he became a fixed and important part of the TD Line up banging his drums and creating weird and wonderful sounds with his Korg Karma Synthesizer.
David Proudfoot Roland V Drums, Dennon Scratch Deck
David has been involved with Martin since the early days of their music making escapades they worked together on numerous musical projects including the hard dance project Mutate which was started in the late 90s. David brings the ultimate driving force of live drumming to the Trancient Sound which is an exciting and energetic vibe. Also using digital scratch decks he weaves an intricate balance of chopped up sounds taken from the original songs overlaying them in interesting and unique ways.

INTO THE ETHER Album Review
A welcome turn in the chillout arena comes in the form of Trancient Dreams. Sheltered under palm trees in a funky stilt bar in Thailand, was where I first gave my ears a rest and listened to these chillout beats. This latest offering is an excellent assortment of beautifully crafted tunes with eastern soundscapes. All of them featuring outstanding engineering and production: with music that is never less than good and frequently fantastic. Far from "just another chillout album", the distinctive sounds slow you down to a level of pure untouched pleasure. Trancient Dreams draws influence from a global source of universal language. It can best be described as a Dub/Dance/Fusion interweaving a strong presence of Eastern grooves and vocals. The little details add to the fresh and exciting 11 tracks, which amount to 80 minutes. The opening track "Dread Central India" impresses with its innovative layering of rhythm and breaks interspersed with funky eastern vocals. "Bandit Funk" is a dub-drenched track fused with sensuous space sounds - perfect for those after-party chillout sessions. The appeal is the eclectic mix and playfulness that comes to the fore when transported into the ether. Across the tracks there is an element of warm dub groove. Gongs, drum beats and sweeping synths are grounded by the well-placed grooves. ’Into The Ether’ delivers. It will take you on a cinematic, visual chillout. This is a forward-thinking, accessible blend of grooves and atmosphere. Nothing short of a purchase is warranted here. A new album is in the works and will be ready near the end of 2007 --Dogma website—
