"Truth or Her" Denied Digital Distribution due to content
"Truth or Her" was denied digital distribution by my new distributor for content and religous references and over tones in the CD Cover (The CD Cover is so true). I was totally unaware that the company and the owner (Caleb Carruth) was very religious I have to commend the company for setting a standard based on what they believe.
Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with their assessment (especially when there's basically no profanity and no obscene language contained on the CD), but I'm just kind of glad that I can write lyrics and create imagery that makes individuals think, even if it's strikes a nerve. The CD is on target for major digital distribution and should be on itunes before the middle of December.
It is still available for purchase on my MySpace site via snocap (all of the track and encoded in high audio quality). Thanks for your patient and your incouraging comments.

Marcus Lashah was born and raised in E. St. Louis, IL. In keeping with the rich musical tradition of musical pioneers who were also from E. St. Louis, IL (Mile Davis, Phil Perry, The McCoy’s, and many more) (Marcus is the great-nephew of the late great George McCoy), he seemed destined to follow in the footsteps of the harmonies of sounds of his surroundings. He started acquiring his music library at the age of 7 and by the age of 18 had amassed over 700 LPs, 45s, and Cassettes of a wide range of musical artist. At the age of 12, Marcus started requesting musical instruments for his Christmas Presents (Acoustics and Electric Guitars, Basses and Drums). He took to playing the drums more than the bass and guitar, as a drummer he use to mimic the playing style of Peter Criss and Neil Peart. At 13 yrs old, he joined a local church choir, where he sang lead on a couple of gospel songs.
The next 5 years of his musical appetite consisted of trying to master the art of writing poetry and lyrics. While in the military living in Heidelberg Germany, he began playing keyboards. Though never mastering the keyboard like he did with poetry and Drums, he because to realize that the keyboard gave him the ability to be musically independent (because of the vast amount of patches or internal instrument sounds available in sound modules and keyboard). On this project “Demented Love,†he was able to record, perform, compose, arranged, mix and master the entire project himself. With 16 years of unleashed musical material, I’m so glad that this is just the beginning of his musical journey that he intends on sharing with world.
