Ever since VAN picked up his first guitar when he was 14, he has been making music. Since his DJ career kicked off in the late 90's, he has played everywhere from Big Outdoor Festivals to Underground parties worldwide. His talent was discovered by Tokyo's essential festival organizer and a music label "anoyo," where he held the residency for over 5 years.His DJing reflects on what he calls "Psychedelic Techno," and his guitar like EQ bends and powerful sound invites the listener into the state of "Trance." In 2008, he is selected as an offical Japanese DJ of Xavier Morel's "Rasputin Records" and he hopes to enter deeper realms in his musical career.Besides his career as a DJ, VAN also has his solo project "USCUS." With USCUS, he expresses "Grand Continental Soundscapes" and produces very unique and original Psychedelic Dance tracks. As USCUS, he has released 2 Full Length albums, and they were both very well received both from the Party Scene and the Media of all types. USCUS means "Universal Sound Custom" and he is currently releasing new tracks through his own label "VAN-recordings."
