HOLD TIGHT ESCAPE FROM SAMSARA IS BACK!!!!We started in September 1995 as a monthly uplifting trance and psychedelic techno club, at The Fridge in Brixton, London. Most of the crew had been working for the legendary Megatripolis club that had run on a weekly basis at Heaven Nightclub in Charing Cross since the early nineties. The crew is made up of a collection of party groups, including Shambhala, Flouro Heaven and Pendragon to name but a few.The parties rapidly evolved and soon gained their own legendary status as 'Friday nights at The Fridge'.The musical style soon became one of the definitive factors in how the London Dance scene grew in the mid nineties. With Djs such as Beamish (resident), Oberon (resident), Blu Peter, Mark Sinclair (resident), Chris Liberator, Rubec, Sayber, Tim Samsara (resident), Darren Shambhala (resident,) Thermobee, Choci, Mark EG, Nick Sentience, Allen TG, Max Alien Trax, Energy Dai, Zebedee, James Munroe, Tristan and numerous others rocking the wheels of steel. They were then joined by such awesome live acts as: Lab 4, K90, Nuw Idol, Cybernaut, The Secret, SBL, Cosmosis, Digitalis/Shakta, System 7, Sentience, Xdream, UX, Hallucinogen, Dave The Drummer, Geezer, Audio Pan, OOOD, Astralasia and Eat static. The club has always been about the people who come and dance their socks off on the dance floor, the music just helps them along (some more than others.)Escape From Samsara soon grew to be a weekly club and was regularly full to the brim. With the aid of the brilliant staff at The Fridge nightclub, we also had the trade mark large balloon drops, confetti showers and pyrotechnic shows along with some of the best live performers in the world, such as trapeze artists, jugglers, UV puppet shows, magicians, acrobats, contortionists, Lucifire the amazing angle grinder and the awesome stilt walkers. All of this gave Escape from Samsara the reputation of being a true festival within a club, with exceptional production values and lots of very, very friendly vibes.EFS did parties in the UK at several other venues including: Heaven, Bagley’s studios, Brixton Academy, The event 2 in Brighton and Stonebridge park sports hall in Wembley. This then transformed in to international parties in such places as Kassel in Germany, Melbourne in Australia, The Paris Techno Parade, The Roxy in Prague, Sunrise club in Athens, mountain tops in Wales and Israel. There was also a travel club that ran overland trips to the Sahara desert and a record label called Trebbleate. We did our last party at The Fridge in 2002 and decide to have a rest for a while.Well now we are back and we have just had the mother of all reunion parties at The Fridge in Brixton. The venue described it as the best party they have had in years as did many of the smiling faces leaving at 6am.So if you missed out on the Samsara phenomenon the first time now is your chance, come and feast your ears on our musical delights and your eyes on the best crowd in town. Just remember one thing though LOVE IS THE KEY!!!!!!!
