About Me

FIRST OF ALL, I want to thank all of you for being such great fans. Due to the busy recording schedule this year it has been hard to respond to everyone's emails. So I want to let you know that you are the BEST fans any band could hope for!!! I'm going to make sure the new album is the best one yet!!!!
Until next time,
~ Carlos
BIO:
Esperanza, led by multi-instrumentalist Carlos Villalobos, brings together the rich heritage of Spanish/Flamenco guitar with contemporary rhythms and dance percussion. This self-titled Higher Octave Music debut is a collection of flowing, up-tempo dance tracks and lush, atmospheric ballads.
Hailing from Chicago, Villalobos is a multi-talented artist, producer, songwriter and mixer who also sings, plays guitars, keyboards, drums, and bass. When Carlos is not working on or playing with ESPERANZA, he is busy with his own production company, Los Productions. He has written & performed music underscores for movies such as ‘Warzone’, ‘Blood Brothers’, & ‘Diablo’ and has scored four HBO movie specials.
