Header Banner Made with MyBannerMaker.com! Click here to make your own!Myspace Contact Tables ---------------Hi... I'm Paul... inventor, musician, frequent flyer, and much charity work. I grew up in the Northeast part of the US and played at many of the local coffee houses in the evening including the original "Club 47" in Cambridge and "The Bitter End" and "The Village Gate" in New York. Along the way, I got an electrical engineering degree, music theory, and continued multi-style guitar/banjo playing from Classical/Flamenco to Folk/Bluegrass. This culminated into studies at The American Institute of Guitar in NY under Dennis Kosster - a protégée of 60s flamenco giants Sabicas and Mario Escudero. This eclectic playing/singing opened the door to the pro audio/movie-film industry. While on staff in recording studios in CT and NY, I was chief recording engineer and studio musician. I recorded and mixed audio for Films, Video, Radio/TV ads, composed many original music scores for them, and did many many voice-overs. I also acted in a few (small parts). From 1996 to 2008, I owned an international high-end audio component design and manufacturing company named "Thor Audio", and still kept playing and singing as much as I could. Recently I started recording again, as I have just finished a brand new state-of-the-art home recording studio and have recorded two CDs 100% for charity (The first was for "Katrina Relief"). However, a new medical invention of mine has kept keep me on the move and living in a few places for a while. I was in six time zones in 7 days! It is very fortunate that I actually LIKE to travel! LOL ____________________________________________________________ __ I am asked quite often about the large, eclectic mix of genres I play and sing, so I should probably should explain them here. -------------------------- 1) When I was a boy I heard all the folk groups and ran out and bought my first guitar (like 100,000 other kids). However, I am very lucky to have also grown up at the right place and at the right time - in Cambridge/Harvard Square Boston MA at the end of the “Folk Era”, so I saw ALL the 60s folk singers play at the legendary "Club 47" - where Baez and Dylan got their start, (but they had gone on to glory by the time I came along). I also played with many of them (since I had started playing guitar and banjo at 13, they thought I was then good enough to back some of them up). I played folk, blues, bluegrass and classical guitar with different people and as a solo act. -------------------------------------------- 2) My mother was a church organist, so I was exposed to classical music at a very young age, and sang in the choir for many years. ------------------ 3) My best friend at Prep School was the son of the Portuguese Ambassador and all I heard when I was at his house was Flamenco. As I had already started playing Classical Guitar, it wasn't a stretch for me to start playing it. I immediately fell in love with Flamenco and it is STILL my favorite guitar style! --- Yes it's a strange mix of music, but it should make more sense now. ________________________________________________________ __ Back when the world was young! --------------- At home with the Perry clan. --------------- "Sing as if there is no one listening"!
