It doesn't interest me what you do for a living. I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart's longing. It doesn't interest me how old you are. I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure of being alive. It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon. I want to know if you have touched the center of your sorrow, if you have been opened by life's betrayals, or have become shriveled and closed from fear of further pain! I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine and your own, without moving to hide it or fade it or fix it. I want to know if you can be with JOY, mine or your own: if you can dance with wildness and let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful, to be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human. It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true. I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself: if you can bear the accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul. I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore trustworthy. I want to know if you can see beauty even when it is not pretty everyday, and if you can source your life from its presence. I want to know if you can live with failure, yours or mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake and shout to the silver of the full moon.It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have. I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the bone, and do what needs to be done for the children. It doesn't interest me who you are, or how you came to be here. I want to know if you will stand in the center of the fire with me and not shrink back.It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied. I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty moments. The sun has come the mists have gone we see in the distance our long way homeI was always yours to have you were always mine we have loved each other in and out of timeWhen the first stone looked up at the blazing sun and the first tree struggled up from the forest floor I have always loved you moreYou freed your braids gave your hair to the breeze it hung like a hive of honey beesI reached in the mass for the sweet honeycomb there Hah God how I loved your hairYou saw me bludgened by circumstance lost, injured, hurt by chanceI screamed to the Heavens loudly screamed trying to change our nightmares into dreamsThe sun has come the mists have gone we see in the distance our long way homeI was yours to have and you were always mine we loved each other in and out, in and out, in and out of time. "Maya Angelou" We cannot tell what may happen to us in the strange medley of life. But we can decide what happens in us...and that is what really counts in the end. How to take the raw stuff of life and make it a thing of worth and beauty. Blessed is the influence of one true, loving human soul on another. Peace be among you & all around you-Godspeed.You are strong when you take your grief and teach it to smile. You are brave when you overcome your fear and help others to do the same. You are happy when you see a flower and give it your blessing. You are loving when your own pain does not blind you to the pain of others. You are you when you are at peace with who you are not.
It plays in my heart~
WHITE WAVE
the spirit of life never dies
True seekers of the higher path. The ones who dare to stand for something and not fall for anything. The loyal few not a disorganized crew. "If you belonged to the world it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you." JOHN-15:19
~HG~ my beauitful waveOnce upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all repaired their boats and left.Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to persevere until the last possible moment. When the island was almost sinking, Love decided to ask for help.Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said, "Richness, can you take me with you?" Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel, "Vanity, please help me!" "I can't help you Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.Sadness was close by so Love asked for help, "Sadness, let me go with you." "Oh...Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"Happiness passed by Love too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her!Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come Love, I will take you."It was an elder. Love felt so blessed and overjoyed that Love even forgot to ask the elder her name. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Love, realizing how much Love owed the elder, asked Knowledge, another elder, " Who helped me?""It was Time," Knowledge answered."Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"Knowledge smiled with great Wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how great Love is."
