About Me

Let's turn this into "About the series" Mythosian Chronicles started out as just a bunch of random stories I sent to a Navy buddy of mine. After about, oh...10 years, he suggested I turn the letters into a novel. More out of boredom than any grand scheme, I put together 8 major stories, and chucked them in two compilation novels. The plan was to do a trilogy of books, 10 stories total. The whole setting was the Star Trek universe, with elements of Star Wars, Chronicles of Narnia, plus my own weird sense of humor, true life stories, and my love of mythology/technology. From the very beginning, I never planned to mass market the books, I just went to the "best deal" self-publisher. I got my deal, had the books printed up, and gave them out as Christmas gifts. Imagine my shock and embarassment when I started to get fan mail. Much of the early fan mail was critiques on the mistakes I made, and boy were there mistakes. Yet, inbetween the harsh critiques, there were letters of "love the story, I'd love it even more if you'd expand on some ideas." Therefore, I sat back down and started to seriously consider writing as a hobby. I have no delusions of grandeur, or expect some million dollar contract. I write simply because I love to write these silly little stories that pop into my head. Yeah, there are some overlying and underlying themes through the series, with each main character being a focal point of a theme. I wish I could say I had everything planned out from the beginning, but nope, I changed the stories dozens of times before I got to the books.
