Ian Curran sings bass with the world renowned Irish classical crossover group, Anúna.He studied music and Irish in MIC/University of Limerick. During this time he founded a music society and served as secretary of the Choral society under the direction of Gareth Cox. He graduated with a BA Hons in 1997 and went on to qualify as a secondary school teacher on completion of a Higher Diploma in Education at Maynooth College in 1998. It was during this time that he joined the Maynooth Chamber Choir and gained valuable experience in classical performance. Ian has taught music in St Leo's College, Carlow since 1999. In January 2007 he was delighted to take part in the filming of Anúna Celtic Origins in Trinity Cathedral, Cleveland. He took leave from his teaching position to tour the US with Anúna from 1 October to 6 December 2007. Ian also graduated with a research MA from University Limerick in October 2007.
