The mission of Emcees For P.E.A.C.E. is to unite emcees/MC's, lyricists, DJ's, producers, Hip Hop heads, poets, revolutionaries, freedom writers, activists, artists, spoken word artists, musicians, and real people to educate through the arts, music, culture, and Hip Hop. "P.E.A.C.E." stands for Proper Education Always Corrects Errors and Positive Energy Activates Constant Elevation. The youth are the target audience of the movement because they are the future of the world and need to be properly educated. This proper education will be brought through the words of the MC's, the scratches from the DJ's, the instrumentalism provided by the producers and beat-makers, the poetry spoken courageously, and all of the artists, in any of their forms of expression, united with the movement. Emcees For P.E.A.C.E. strives to cease war and bring peace, but it is known that there will be no peace without justice. It is time to stand up, speak out, and take action for our rights, justice, freedom, peace, the youth, the truth, and our lives. Education is seen as the strongest combatant against issues such as poverty, corruption, and violence, only if that education is proper, factual, and truthful. In order to reach the masses, that education must be presented in a way that can relate to the people and in an engaging and empowering way for the sake of the youth. The movement stands for Truth, Justice, Freedom, Equality, Peace, and Freedom and represents Hip-Hop as a culture, music, and lifestyle. Hip Hop has expanded throughout the globe; it is serving as a cultural connector, brining many different individuals together as one, and has broken down racial and social barriers that have stood tall before us for decades.
