In The Beginning of my Liberation

About Me

I was born Aondongu Tivzenda December 26, 1983. I was born a healthy baby in Makurdi, Benue State Nigeria. My father moved to America on academic scholarship in the 80's. He had to work odd hours and save money to bring my mother and I to America. It is in America I've met so many beautiful people. I've made great friends while here. But it wasn't until I took a trip back to visit my birthplace that things really started to make sense. All my life my parents made sure I never forgot where I came from.
But it didn't make sense till I went back to visit Nigeria. The experience was not only overwhelming, it was beautiful, disgusting, familiar, yet foreign. When I came back to Georgia, I started questioning every aspect of my life: I questioned my religion, my world view, my own existence. I started searching for honest people to answer my questions and uncertainties. I found no one. I had always wrote poetry to express myself, but I needed something which would help me express my new passions frustrations. Hip Hop. I had always loved Rap music, but I became obsessed with Hip Hop culture in my adult years. Through Hip Hop I want to reach those who I did not reach before. I want to bridge the gap between the African Diaspora and the African people. I feel this will uplift humanity, because as the rest of the world lessens the gap, Africa digresses. I think we can all do something to uplift humanity by respecting and restoring Africa and it's people Anyone willing to listen and help is welcome.
"I'm not a teacha I just want these kids to be unashamed of their African Features." That's my ethos.
