Aztech (GutterHeads)

Raised in the North Shore of Boston Massachusetts by his mother who was an independent Korean woman new to the Untied States, Aztech entered the world of Hip Hop as a B-Boy due to his neighborhood being absorbed in the sounds of both Hip Hop and R&B in the early 90's, drawing inspiration from artists ranging from Rakim, Tribe Called Quest, and Krs One to New Edition and Teddy Riley. Aztech became a student of the culture at a very early age. Gaining experience as an MC Aztech would go on to form the group Hybrid Thoughts and later became part of a larger Hip Hop crew known as Divine Rhyme. The group would go on to release a 9 track EP which included the song "Redemption" which was featured on the soundtrack and the film "Dante's Salvation" shortly after, they went their separate ways. However, it wasn’t until years later after several album features and mixtape appearances (see discography), Aztech released his first solo project "Revolutionary Ruins" under the production label Vikinglike LTD. Which received much positive feedback in the Boston Hip Hop community. Aztech has also been blessed to work and share the stage with acts such as Jedi Mind Tricks, Blackalicious, Sean Price, Cage, Esham, Reef The Lost Cauze, Hell Razah, Shabazz The Disciple, and Copywrite to name a few aside from the many established Boston artists he has worked with, and has also rocked shows in California, Michigan, Rhode Island and Connecticut and always stays consistently rocking shows in his home of Boston MA. In March 08’ Aztech released the mixtape “In Due Time” which gave Aztech his most credited reviews to date. Aztech also has several other projects in the works and continues to keep busy rocking shows.
