Starting out in 1983 writing graffiti under the name "FAST-N7", the Boston native Neil Nots soon became interested in all aspects of Hip Hop. He hooked up with Dean Smart (HEX) to form "SYSTEM DEF" in 1985, which would later become "COLD NOIZE" and record throughout the late eighties. In 1990, after working with B Down Records and "Gangstarr Posse-NFX" (Mike Dee, King Shab, Little Smitty). Neil Nots next linked up with legendary producer Sam Sever and recorded a number of tracks for Mr. Positive Productions in 1992. This would later introduce him to DOCK the Ripper and together they formed the "DEADRINGERS" in 1993. Exposed to the music industry and the direction of rap music, he looked for a different outlet in production. Neil Nots then got involved in producing and spinning Drum and Bass throughout the late nineties. In 1997 he hooked up with DJ MESS and the two created "DRUMADDICTZ", which worked with well known break beat record company Downbeat Productions out of Connecticut. Neil Nots attended Full Sail Real World Education in 2003/2004 and graduated with a degree in Recording Arts and Sciences. Today, Neil Nots is working with a handful of top underground emcees on various projects and is an active member of the Crate Invaders.
