About Me

S.a.f.e. is an organization dedicated to help fight the war on child sex exploitation. Our mission is to help give children a voice, provide education and resources, lobby for tougher punishments, and break the chain of secrecy that has always been associated with sexual abuse. There is an old saying that, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." S.a.f.e. is not only dedicated to providing resources and a safe haven for victims, we are also dedicated to help strike fear in the heart of anyone who would victimize a child. Fear is one of the greatest deterrents to crime. Right now in America perpetrators are not afraid of the consequences! S.a.f.e. wants to change that. We want to let abusers know..."What is done in secret will be shouted on the roof tops!"Currently, there has not been an effective way to teach younger children about sexual abuse and how to report it. One of our main goals is to research a way to teach young children how to report abuse. We plan to start by speaking in schools to older kids and teens that have already had a sex education class. From there we want to reach the younger kids with a message that they have a voice and that no one has the right to violate their body or make them feel ashamed.S.a.f.e. is currently in the planning stages. We hope to have the main website up by Christmas. We also are still in process of getting incorporated and not for profit status. We are currently looking for top professionals to be on our board of advisers. We need to have Social Workers, Child Psychologists, Teachers, Doctors, Lawyers, Authors, Police Officers, Ministers, and anyone currently knowledgeable specifically in the field of sexual abuse. We are also needing spokespeople from all states to represent S.a.f.e. by speaking and lobbying to help break the chain of abuse in this country and raise awareness. In 2008, S.a.f.e. is planning a survivors run to benefit the foundation. It will be a great time for past victims to come out and be victorious by Using Their Past to Change the Future. Together, we can make the world a safer place!
