About Me

SINCE 1995

Subscribe to Amplifier Blog by Email

The The Amplifier was established in 1995 to promote local arts & entertainment. It was published online the same year, making it south central Kentucky's first online publication. It continued to be owned and operated by Kim Mason as a home base business until May 2007 when she joined the Daily News team and brought the publication with her, serving as its Content Manager. The Amplifier continues to feature arts & entertainment related articles and event listings concerning artists, organizations and businesses in south central Kentucky. The publication also includes CD, Book and movie reviews.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

All friends are part of south central Kentucky's scene - check them out!

I'd like to meet others in the south central Kentucky scene to learn about them and let them know about The Amplifier's services such as free event listings in our calendars, free personal/organizational listings in our directories of artists & venues, free posting of press releases with our articles and our forum.

I'd also like to let writers and musicians from beyond our area know that they are welcome to send CDs or books for our review columns (to The Amplifier PO Box 90012, Bowling Green, KY 42102). I would like to keep my circle of friends closed to the region I promote. My myspace "friends section" features the talent from, living in or frequenting this area. Also individuals from the area who are interested in the scene. I have my comments section open to anyone though & artists from outside the limited friends circle are welcome to promote their endeavors there.

Looking for new contributors - writers, videographers, photographers, cartoonists.
