About Me

BilliJean Madison was born and raised in Central Ohio on December 25, 1983. At the young age of 3, she was instructed on the techniques and styles of the guitar by her uncle. At the age of 5, she gave her first performance at a local church Christmas program. During her teenage years, BilliJean studied music and helped form her first all girl band called “ ByTcHes iN HeaT “. They performed covers of Garbage, No Doubt, L7, Pat Benatar, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, along with some original material written by BilliJean. During her high school years, she studied classical music and was inspired by JS Bach and Beethoven. During this period, she performed classically at many festivals and venues in the local area. At the age of 17, BilliJean received a scholarship to attend Mannes College of Music in New York City, where she studied under Frederic Hand and Michael Newman. While in college, BilliJean worked as a contract guitarist, playing in big bands and backing local artists. Miss Madison received her BA in Classical Guitar Performance. She has worked as an Art’s Fund Coordinator, and studio musician while attending a local University to work on her Masters in Music Theory and Composition. Currently, BilliJean is touring the country performing small venues and festivals. She plans to start recording her first solo album this winter, and possibly tour Europe in the Spring. ..
