About Me
An accomplished saxophonist and educator Dan Nicora has over thirty years of bandstand experience, including invaluable performances with such jazz greats as Slide Hampton, Bobby Watson, Tim Hagens, Phil Woods, Don Braden, Bobby Shew, Diane Schuur, John Fedchock, Denis DiBlasio, Marvin Stamm, Claudio Rodoti, John Riley, Conrad Herwig, Steve Turre, Greg Abate and Jim Chapin. Other performances include The Harry James Orchestra, The Four Tops, The Temptations, The Dells, The Marvalettes, and The O’Jays. He was a member of the United States Air Force Band of Flight where he toured the US with the band “Flight One.†Dan has a B.S. from Duquesne University and a M.A. from Antioch University. Dan performs regularly with the The Dayton Jazz
Orchestra. With the horn section The Brass Monkeys , he performs with Jake
and Elwood's Blues Revue , Parrots of the Caribbean ,
The Kerry Smith Band, Laika and Johnny Clueless .
