I am a survivor of domestic abuse. It happened many years ago. However, at the time I was so busy getting away from the man who abused me that I didn't take the time to deal with my emotions and everything else that goes along with it to deal with it in a healthy way. Now years later, I'm in a safe and happy place in my life and I am currently dealing with the pain, loss, sorrow, etc. of everything that happened years ago.

I would like to meet other people who have been through the same nightmares that I have. Other people who believe the same way that I do. Other people who may just need a friend to talk to that has been through the same thing and can fully understand.

"Enough" w/ Jennifer Lopez This is my favorite movie that deals with DV. The reason I love this movie so much is because when I left my ex I learned fast that laws, judges, cops, EPOs, etc. are not going to keep some men away. Therefore you have to take matters into your own hands. I do not promote killing even though I was a fan of Dixie Chicks "Goodbye Earl" song but that's a whole other story in itself...lol. What I highly promote is women/men/children learning self-defense and becoming strong, independent humans, like Jennifer Lopez did in this movie. She learned to fight back and I encourage anyone who has been beaten down and feels worthless to learn to FIGHT BACK!!!!
