About Me

Manuel Rodeiro
From a broadly historical and aesthetic perspective, the work of Manuel Rodeiro can be placed within the international trend known as post-Spectralism, which is characterised, on the one hand, by the high sound definition afforded by the filter of technological experience, and on the other, by historical musical reincorporation.Based on apparently simple structures and repetitive musical processes, Rodeiro’s music is played out in gradual transformations and constant analogical transpositions of a single rhythm; both processes which are intimately connected with lyrical composition and ultimately constitute the configuration of rhythm and the reverberation of sound of a felt emotion. But just as the listener perceives the innocence of certain sonorous archetypes, appearances blur. Suddenly, rhythm turns into dance, voice into song, and the initial composure gives way to ecstasy, revealing the indissoluble connection between sound – the poetic word – and profound reality.I edited my profile with Thomas’ Myspace Editor V4.4
