About Me

Compositional Notes: What I like in a composition: 1.) The freedom to choose whatever I feel like at any time, just because, 2.) Orchestral instruments used “improperly”, 3.) Carefully controlled and thought out dissonance, 4.) Rhythmic and harmonic complexity and their opposites, 5.) Noise and 6.) Humor. ............................................................ ........................................................... Notes on production: The music you hear here is 99% computer generated. The reasons for this are: 1.) Computers can, and will, do things humans cannot, 2.) It’s the only cost effective way to create the music I like to write, 3.) I don’t need to deal with other people to get work done. However, the downside of computer music is that the size of one’s budget is directly proportional to the quality of music one can make (now, for all you hippies that respond to this comment, I DO NOT mean that you need money to make art, so get over yourselves. I mean, that things like high quality samples and good orchestral software is expensive. Its all relative, I like to compose with what I consider to be high quality. Your conception may vary, I don't care, so stop sending me messages about this). So, I do the best I can with what I can get my hands on. I also happen to suck at sound production, so I often take great sounds and ruin them when I play producer. ............................................................ ........................................................... Personal notes: I am a linguist working mostly in East Asian languages. I love my job to death and I often feel it will be the death of me. I am also married and I love my wif (Old English for wife – actually, before the great vowel shift, it was pronounced ‘weef’ as in ‘beef’) to death too! I also like to study Korean, do yoga, exercise, hunt and fish, train my dog and mow my lawn. As was once said, I am basically a redneck that happened to read Walden and listen to Zappa. ............................................................ ........................................................... Someday I will release things. ............................................................ ............................................................ One more thing: if you have tried to learn Korean, or are in the midst of doing so and would like to complain about how f***ing hard it is, please leave a message! ............................................................ ........................................................... Most importantly: If you hate it...at least laugh at it. If you can’t laugh at it…get a life. ............................................................ ........................................................... Fin. ............................................................ ........................................................... --Sean M ............................................................ ........................................................... All auto posts and ads (except those from FOWL) will be deleted. In addition, if you have nothing to say then DO NOT SAY IT. DO NOT SEND COMMENTS LIKE "Thanks for being my friend!" I DO NOT CARE.

Possibly looking for live collaborators.

Howdy, Well, I am thinking about doing some live performances. I would like to do some semi-organized noise/spacey/avant-garde improv. If you are interested in "jamming", shoot me a message and we ca...
