It began with me (Christopher Moonlight) doing a zine to hand out at death rock clubs, in Hollywood, which I called Mary's Mothers Scream. It wasn't all that well done, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good, and people liked it. Each issue had a four page comic in it, ensuring that my little copy-shop mag did not suffer from lack of artistic diversity. That would have been a true crime amongst the inner circles of my closest friends, who were (and still are) the kind of people that made an art out of goth and death rock. It was the story of a young goth boy (much like myself at the time) named Wendell, and his young friends, as they searched for love and a bigger life then they already had. Not all of them make it, I should add. As I went along (and with a little help from my best friend Frank Kane) the stories went from silly and cute, to something a little more... grown up? Deeper? Whatever it was, it mirrored the characters as they went along. Now in 2008 we have decided to go back and pick up where we left off, with Frank taking on more writing duties. With the 10th anniversary edition republish, you can now expect new issues of The Curse, along with the collected Mary's Mother's Scream. You can find more information on these stories, convention dates, and other events at www.christophermoonlight.blogspot.com or subscribe to our blog, where there will be opportunities to win prizes such as original sketches, and free copies of our publications.Get my banner code or design your own banner
