I am related to Dante Alighieri who wrote "Dante's Inferno." It's a story about one man's journey through the levels of Hell. "Abandon All Hope Ye Who Enter Here." (I'd love to animate this one day)
I also have several artists in my family tree with this amazing talent for oil painting. I can actually find some of my great, great grandfather's paintings on ebay every now and then as well as my grandfather's work as a painter and graphic artist.
My great aunt, Gina Cerminara, studied with Edgar Cayce. She wrote a book about him that is still published, Many Mansions.
There's also a branch of some crazies like
1) Lulabelle - she got mad at her husband one day, went out into the garage area, poured gasoline on herself, and lit herself on fire. Her husband found the ashes.
2) A woman that was upset at her husband and threw herself down a well.
3) A man that had a medical condition that caused his stomach to grow very large while the rest of him stayed normal. He was eventually so upset that he tried to cut it off.
On my mother's side there's an explorer, William Hall, who traveled with Daniel Boone for a while and mapped out some cities when the U.S. was being populated.
