Elisabeth Geel was born in The Netherlands, and presently lives in Thiene, Vicenza, Italy. She has studied classical guitar and vocal technique. After finishing her education she moves to the United States. During this two years' stay she travels from Alaska to California and Arizona, singing in music clubs and developing her skills as an artist/illustrator. Returning to Europe she begins working as a singer and illustrator, in Holland, Germany and Italy. Since 1988 she has been a full-time professional singer. She works as a vocalist in different recording studios, sings backing vocals on various recordings, writes songs for other performing artists. From 1993 to 2002 she performs mainly outside of Italy, singing and playing music from a great variety of traditions, in Germany, Denmark, Austria, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Dubai, United States and Singapore. In 2003 she is back in Italy, she forms a band to bring her owns songs and jazz standards in different settings. She has played on festivals like UBI Jazz, Marca Jazz, Terramossa, Friuli Venezia Giulia Jazz, Marostica in Jazz, and with guitarist Lino Brotto she takes part as a finalist in the Dutch Jazz Competition 2004 (North Sea Jazz Festival). In 2007 she spends several months in Los Angeles, to explore the local music scene. She teaches vocal tecnique and songwriting, and she is also a visual artist.

But my hairstylist taught me that the real light is anywhere, as long as people really communicate.
