M. Piazza, - JazzIt Magazine, review of “FELIEC†==========================================================“Pianist Danilo Memoli, whose stile is rooted in the great lesson of the fathers of Be-Bop but enriched with other influences, performs with sparkles of true originality, as is also well demonstrated by his interesting compositions…†(as above)
==========================================================“Memoli is also a very gifted arranger, and his work on the standards Old Devil Moon and You & The Night & The Music gives these evergreens a new, particular perspective.†(as above)
==========================================================“Memoli plays here with a great sweetness, at times shyness. The very personal aspects in these songs are mixed with those of the artist and the musician.â€
M. Losavio - Jazzitalia.net, review of “FELIEC†==========================================================“The search for an effective essentiality is reached by playing with a subtle control but with an intense energy that is needed to control the available dynamics of the trio. Memoli definitely reveals his maturity and class.†(as above)
==========================================================“(...) two eminent guests and a very nice feeling throughout the whole recording. Memoli’s nimble, natural elegance is far from the current conventions. He is also responsible for some excellent arrangements (slightly à la Horace Silver) which shine in this CD. All in all, over seventy-one minutes of interesting, flowing, high-quality jazz.â€
