Tall Poppy Records

Tall Poppy Records, a funky urban/folk roots independent record label will be housed in their very own, Poppy Café and will have every emphasis being placed on supporting new and unsigned acts. We develop and build a platform on which their careers can grow; a venue that cultivates creative talent and offers clientele an unusual and earthy environment where they can uniquely access real artists at arms length on a permanent and regular basis. Building it into a platform, known internationally as a place to go and a place to be or hang, to discover not only the up and coming, real “live talent” but also blending with established performers and signed acts, working towards the top of the industry. Providing affordable, healthy food in an artistic environment. Our aim is to create an “experience”, in a trendy bohemian restaurant/bar welcoming many different styles of music yet keeping within the Tall Poppy urban rootsy feel to provide a forum for the expression of creative excellence. When we find a permanent location, (and we’re pretty sure we’ve found the perfect one already) we can flourish and nurture all of our talents. There are so many exciting avenues that this project brings on; through Internet broadcasts from an onsite set up, live web radio and visuals to and from London and Vancouver, available to fans worldwide.
