Alberto Malnati, learns bass at the Quarto jazz school with Luciano Milanese and Piero Leveratto.
He perfects his knowledge of music with the help of great bass players such as, Pierre Bousseguet, Walter Booker, Ray Brown and Ron Carter.
He partecipates to many internationals jazz festivals and performs in various clubs and theatres in Italy and Europe.
During all those years he plays with a considerable number of important american and italian musicians i.e.

As leader he records the cd "The Big Gift" for the label "Pull Music", with Sangoma Everett: drums, Andrea Pozza: piano, Stefano Guazzo : Sax, Felice Reggio : Trumphet
He was regular member of the alto sax player Cristina Mazza quintet, and he is co-leader of the Be Bop impossible quartet, formed with the excellent baritone players Bruno Marini, Andrea Pozza and Max Caracca, band which has recorded the cd "bebop impossible", edited by "Azzura music".
He wons the international prize "Barga Jazz '99" with Ata trio and with the piano player Alberto Tacchini leaded the Vajrayana quintet with the excellent american tenor saxofonist Matt Renzi, David Boato and Ferdinando Faraò. He plays regurarly with the song writer Giorgio Conte since 1999 whoms he performed tours in Italy, Germany, Holland, Spain, France, Switzerland, Austria and Canada, recording the cd s il "Contestorie", and "The Best of Giorgio Conte live" for the label "Storie di note", and "la belle vie" for the french label empreinte digitale.

He teach bass, combo and organizes jazz clinics in Genoa since 1994.With the drummer Rodolfo Cervetto and Alberto Tacchini forms a permanent trio . The cooperation with the drummer Rodolfo Cervetto continuos in the band of Carlo Milanese (piano player and composer) ,intermission quartet
From 1997 to 1999 he was the assistent of Buster Williams at the jazz clinix "We Love Jazz"
He performs at severals radio..s and tv's jazz programs in Italy, Europe and Canada.
