About Me

I was born in Turin 1965 and i started playing drums when i was 8 years old and i studied piano at G.Verdi Conservatory in Turin. I got in touch with jazz music, meeting the great tenor sax Larry Nocella and since then, on those last 20 years, i performed and recorded in many important festivals, theatres and jazz clubs in Europe, United States, India, Africa and Asia, with many others great musicians, such as:Franco Cerri, Dado Moroni, Antonio Forcione, Flavio Boltro, James Moody, Steve Grossman, Charlie Mariano, Enrico Pieranunzi, Gianni Basso, Rita Marcotulli, Antonio Farao', Tom Harrell, Luciano Milanese, Luigi Bonafede, George Garzone, Gary Bartz, Ares Tavolazzi, Donovan Mixon, Robert Bonisolo, Marco Pereira, Alessio Menconi, Gianni Coscia, Dino Piana, Pietro Tonolo, Randy Brecker, Ira Coleman, Reggie Johnson, Steve Wilson, Peter Washington, Larry Shneider, Joe Magnarelli, Stefano Di Battista, Franco Ambrosetti, Alberto Marsico, Christian Rover, Raetus Flisch, Peggy Stern.I was in tour with Gloria Gaynor in '91 and lately, from '96 'til '06 i collaboreted and recorded with the Italian pop-jazz singer Rossana Casale.In 2001 i formed Scenario Trio with Alberto Marsico(Hammond organ) and Simone Santini(Sopranino sax) playing and arranging the music of The Beatles. Since 2003, i moved quiet often to London, where i've met the great acustic guitarist Antonio Forcione, with whom i recorded his last two cd "Touch Wood" and "Tears of joy" and toured all over the world; i'm even play with some others great musicians such as guitarist Giorgio Serci, cellist Jenny Adejayan, piano players Alex Hutton and Johnatan Gee, bass players Dave Chamberlain, Larry Bartley, Ben Hazelton, Davide Mantovani and with the band Acustique. In 2005 i formed a duo with guitar player Nico Di Battista called "Neapolis", dedicated to the wonderful world of Naples old songs. Our first cd "Neapolis" is coming out for the italian label "Suoni del sud"(Rai Trade), distributed by Egea. At present time i just finished recording a cd with Dado Moroni, Andrea Dulbecco, Riccardo Fioravanti, Stefano Bagnoli and Tom Harrell, coming out in september for Abeat records
