Austin TX Musician

About Me

Hello Everyone First of all - I hope you enjoy the music. It's all my fault if you don't - I played it all and sang it all and recorded it all - so either my booboo or I hope it made you smile, cry, dance, laugh or think or any combination. I am an Austin Musician -
I am pretty sure I can play guitar - I can hit on the bass pretty well - keys - the white keys and I'm there - Drums - done that. Engineer, produce, sing lots of parts - write, arrange - love it all!!!
Come from a musical family - the Compeans - from Laredo and Houston TX. Some of them were basically the founding members of South Texas Tejano music. The Compeans in Houston - jeez - they played with everyone - a cousin who played on "Walk The Line" and "Brother Where Art Thou" soundtrks...god bless em all!
I have been a lucky guy - played in bands with folks that have played with the Lonely Boys, Dixie Chicks, The Sexton Brothers, Alejandro Escovedo, Carolyn Wonderland, Grady, Eric Johnson, Patty Griffin, BoDeans, Rotel and the Hottie Tomatoes - all of them not only talented but great people to be with - shit - I can go on...like I said I am a lucky guy. Have the Pro Tools knowledge - done that for a long time - in PA - in Texas - in Mexico. Got lucky and saw the US playing Music - thanks Patty.
Lived in Nashville, played the Bluebird - lived in Austin (still do)did illegal stuff at the Vulcan Gas Co., played the Armadillo, Soap Creek Saloon, Rauls, Clubfoot, Steamboat, SouthPark Meadows, Saxon Pub, with folks like Joan Armatrading, Jules Shears (I'm running out of breath here) - too many to list.
Lived in PA - played in the Northeast - in and w/ the snow. Taught, played, breathed, listened to, heard, saw - MUSIC. Met Jimi Hendrix - funny story - Met Janis Joplin - kinda funny story - met Todd Rundgren - love ya Todd...recorded at Electric Lady Studios in NY. Axis Bold as you know what!!!
As I said before - just a lucky guy I guess. Hope you enjoy the music! Peace! DanielDanDanny
